One of my little sweeties, Dinah, was hit by a car on Saturday morning and was too badly injured to make it, so we had to have her put down. We didn't have her long, but she will be sorely missed.
I'm sorry you lost her. We live on the curve of a very busy road and I've seen too many of my neighbors' lose cats on it. My kitties are indoor only because of it.
Yeah, I know I probably should keep them in, but they love chasing butterflies and rolling on the warm patio stones. Maybe I can keep under my watchful eye in the backyard.

I love you Dog Island Farm blog.
I'm so sorry about your loss! It's always hard to have an animal put down, no matter how long you have had them. I cry great heaving sobs every time!
My cat started off as an indoor cat, but his parents were barn cats and he just loves to be outside. It would seem cruel to keep him in.
At least you have the comfort of knowing that little Dinah had a good life while she was with you.
